We invite entrepreneurs and businesses to join official and business delegations from Vietnam and Binh Duong province during an incoming trade mission to Leeuwarden, Friesland, on 3 and 4 November, 2019.  


The goals of this visit are 1) to promote interaction, understanding, and cooperation between governments, business communities and knowledge institutions of the Netherlands and Vietnam and 2) to create opportunities for companies and investors to introduce products and services, and expand their networks.

The mission is ideal for Dutch companies and knowledge institutions 1) that are wanting to expand and strengthen their activities in Vietnam and 2) that want to explore their opportunities in Vietnam market, especially that in Binh Duong province -- one of the economic power centers in southern Vietnam. 


The European Union and Vietnam will finalize signing of a Trade Agreement and an Investment Protection Agreement. This brings European exporters and investors closer to the Vietnam market with 95 million consumers. This trade mission offers opportunities for companies to establish and develop contacts at a high level. You will meet the Vietnamese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Minister Counsellor, together with official delegates from Binh Duong province and business delegates from Vietnam.

During the mission you will meet official representatives from Vietnam and Vietnamese business investors.   • 09:00 - 12:00:       Introduction of city of Leeuwarden, Friesland;  Seminar: "Doing business and investment Opportunities in Binh Duong, Vietnam"; Business Seminar: "Doing Business in Vietnam"; Sharing success story: “Friesland Campina”; Introducing: there Tech hub and New Business Ecosystem; Supports from Dutch government and RVO.

  • 12:00 - 13:00:        Lunch & Networking 

  • 15:00 - 17:00: Field trip - visiting companies in Drachten, Friesland

What does the Trade Mission fee include?

The fee includes admission to the mission, business seminars, beverages and lunch and scheduled activities on 4 November, 2019 (excluding private dinner on 3 November 2019). Participation will include access to there online hub to connect with there business ecosystem members.

What Additional Fees Are There?

Attendees will be responsible for your own transporation cost to/from Leeuwarden, NL, and accommodation cost should you decide to stay overnight. Organizer has arranged a room block at WestCord WTC hotel for guests, please contact for details.

What is the Purpose of the Trade Mission and Why Should I Consider Attending?

To promote interaction, understanding, and cooperation between local businesses and knowledge institutions with Vietnam based companies, and organizations. One should consider participating if they want to learn about business and investment opportunities in Vietnam market, especially in Binh Duong province. Participants will meet with and interact with Vietnam officials to the Netherlands, Binh Duong province officials and business delegates, and learn first hand what Vietnamese investors are looking for and what to look for in Vietnam market. Additionally the opportunity to promote your own projects, products and services will be possible.

Do I Need to Speak Vietnamese/ English to Benefit from the Trade Mission?

The program will be Dutch and English. If you think you will benefit translation support (Dutch to English, English to Dutch), please contact us ay While speaking Vietnamese does have its benefits, it is not a requirement join the Trade Mission or to work with Vietnamese delegates. All Vietnamese delegates can speak English.
